Approval rates

A Beverly Hills Unified School District, Measure E bond proposition was on the November 4, 2008 ballot for voters in the Beverly Hills Unified School District in Los Angeles County, California, where it was approved.

Measure E authorized the district to borrow $334 million.

In 2012, the Beverly Hills Unified School District paid $319,975 to the law firm of Hill, Farrer & Burrel from Measure E funds. Hill, Farrer is representing the district in its lawsuit against the Metro subway system's plan to place a subway tunnel under Beverly Hills High School. The rationale of the school for using Measure E funds to pay these legal fees is that if the subway tunnel gets built, it will have to re-do its reconstruction plans for the high school.[1]

A 55 percent supermajority vote was required for approval.
