Bevin Llanes was a candidate for at-large representative on the Sachem Central Board of Education in New York. She was defeated in the general election that was held on May 17, 2016.[1]

Llanes is a paralegal at SDCA. She obtained her associate degree from Briarcliffe College. Llanes has served on several school board committees. She also volunteers with the Girl Scouts.[2]

Three of the nine seats on the Sachem Central School District school board were up for general election on May 17, 2016. Incumbent Tony Falco, along with newcomers Mike Matlat and Sara Wottawa, defeated challengers Bevin Llanes, Alexander Wilson, and Carol Locklin in the race for three seats. Dennis O’Hara originally filed to run but withdrew from the race.[3]
