Recall reports

An effort to recall Mayor Bill Altman of Stillwater, Texas was successful in 2004.[1] Terry Huff, who organized the recall campaign that gathered more than 6,000 signatures, said "We want the mayor recalled so the council will take notice and try to straighten out the city's problems." Altman was also accused of profiting from a land deal and being condescending towards citizens that complained about potholes and high water bills. The recall began just four months after Altman won re-election unopposed.[2]
