Bill Burke is the judge of the 189th District Court in Texas.[1] He was appointed by Governor Rick Perry in October 2003.[2] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins on January 1, 2015, and expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: He defeated Ursula A. Hall in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 54.9 percent of the vote. [4][5][6] 

2010

Burke defeated Democrat Ursula A. Hall in the general election for the 189th District Court, winning 56.9 percent of the vote.[7]

Education

Burke earned a bachelor's in economics from Rice University in 1965. He went on to graduate with a J.D. from the University of Texas in 1968.[2]
