William Charles Cooper (born November 11, 1961) is an American politician and a Republican primary candidate for Michigan's second congressional district in 2010. He came in fourth and supported his opponent Bill Huizenga for the general election. He was also a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Michigan at the Michigan Republican Convention in 2010, but withdrew his name out of support for the party. He was considered as a possible candidate for Chairman of the Michigan Republican State Committee.

Cooper drew many vocal supporters at the state convention, especially from Tea Party activisits. However, he eventually withdrew his name from consideration at the Republican Party convention.[1]

Personal Life

Bill Cooper is married to his wife Wendi and has three daughters, Annie, Maggie, and Grace.
