Campaign themes

2017

Haley’s campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Education
Our education system is currently greatly controlled by the government. From birth through college, government has a very large role in the lives of our children and youth, which greatly compromises parental, association, religious and constitutional rights. Free enterprise is far superior.

Regulations
If your company is regulated by the Better Business Bureau, your business should be exempt from similar government regulations. The BBB is just one example of a private regulatory agency. Every year, about 10% of regulations will become eligible to adjust. Multiple CRA’s will experiment with different changes.

Welfare to Charity
The main problem of government run welfare programs is that they set up standards that need to be met in order to receive benefits. Many people put themselves in those situations to gain the benefits and become entrapped, thus doing much harm. The greatest harm is the incredible growth of broken families.

Pro Life
Life is precious and should be protected. There is a sacred pact between all mankind that I will protect your life if you will protect mine. I believe that pact should start at conception and last through the end. I am deeply concerned about young mothers with unwanted pregnancies. I myself offered to help a young, desperate pregnant woman, even to the point of adoption.[2]
