Hudak ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Massachusetts' 6th District, but he dropped out of the race in late January 2012.
On April 27, the Boston Herald reported that Hudak had filed personal bankruptcy. According to the article, Hudak's average monthly income was about $13,900, while his monthly expenses were just under $20,000. His total assets were valued at just over $1 million, while his liabilities were about $900,000. he had credit card debts of more than $187,000 and various loans or lines of credit totaling about $75,000, student loans of $100,000, and a-more-than than $500,000 loan on his house.[1]
