Bill Morrison
Bill Morrison (Democratic Party) was the Shelby County Probate Court Clerk in Tennessee. He assumed office in 2018. He left office on September 1, 2022.
Morrison (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for Shelby County Probate Court Clerk in Tennessee. He lost in the Democratic primary on May 3, 2022.
Morrison was a member of the Memphis City Council in Tennessee, representing District 1, from 2008 to 2018.[1] He resigned on November 1, 2018, to become the probate court clerk of Shelby County.[2]
Biography
Morrison received a bachelor's degree in integrative studies from the University of Memphis and a master's degree in educational administration and supervision from Arkansas State University. His professional experience includes teaching in the Shelby County Schools and working in human resources at the companies Guardsmark, Rural Metro Ambulance and Mman Tec, Inc.[3] He has also served as a Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) Achievement Test coach.[4]

The city of Memphis, Tennessee, held elections for mayor and city council on October 8, 2015. A runoff, if necessary, would have taken place on November 19, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 17, 2015.[5] In the District 1 race, incumbent Bill Morrison defeated Wayne Roberts in the general election on October 8, 2015.[6]
