A special election for the position of Kentucky House of Representatives District 54 was called for March 8. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 19.[1]
The seat was vacant following Mike Harmon's (R) resignation after he was elected to the state Auditor position in the November 2015 general election.
Bill Noelker (D) was defeated by Daniel Elliott (R) in the special election.[2][3]
