Bill Raney
Bill Raney is a member of the West Virginia Public Service Commission. He assumed office on August 17, 2021. His current term ends on June 30, 2027.
Raney was first appointed to the commission by Gov. Jim Justice (R) in August 2021, to succeed Brooks McCabe, whose term had expired.[1]
Biography
Bill Raney lives in Morgantown, West Virginia. Raney served in the West Virginia Army National Guard and reached the rank of colonel. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology and an M.P.A. from West Virginia University. Raney's career experience includes working as a surface mine inspector with the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources Division of Reclamation and as the president and CEO of the West Virginia Coal Association.[1][2]
