What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
National Security/ Border Security Constitution/ Bill of Rights Health Care
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
The importance of our Bill of Rights in preserving our personal freedoms. The eroding of our First and Second amendments. Our public policy ought to be one that requires federal solutions where directed in the constitution, but seeks state and local solutions as emphasized in the Tenth amendment.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
Floyd Schafer. My father is a strong influence on my work ethic and self reliance. President Ronald Reagan. President Reagans confidence in the American people, pride in the United States and selfless servant characteristics. Military Service Men and Women. These Americans sacrifice tremendously in support of this great nation.
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?
The United States constitution and our Bill of Rights.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Integrity, servant of the people and work ethic.
What legacy would you like to leave?
I'm not interested in legacy. I am interested in principled service to the people of Iowa District 3 and our nation.
