I was appointed to the Town Council by a unanimous 6-0 vote in March 2020 and is currently running for election in the August 4th, 2020 special election. I am a third generation Arizona native born and raised in Tempe. I retired from the US Navy as a Lieutenant Commander Nuclear Engineering Officer after serving nearly 24 years on seven submarines and two aircraft carriers. I have two amazing children both of whom attended Gilbert Public Schools. I am an avid hiker with a list of adventures that include summiting Mt. Fuji, hiking the rain forests in Australia, and multiple backpacking trips into the Grand Canyon. I currently serve on the MAG Domestic Violence Board and serve as Council Liaison to the Gilbert Public Schools Board, Parks and Recreation Board, and the newly created Veterans Advisory Committee.
  • Smart growth and fiscally responsible spending while maintaining the values and personality of Gilbert.
  • Ensure gold-standard infrastructure including clean water and reliable services.
  • Develop and promote a robust commercial economy with emphasis on supporting small business
Since taking office I have worked hard alongside town staff to develop a long-term infrastructure and strategic growth plan that will lead Gilbert through the next several decades. It is vital to create a robust and executable plan that incorporates the desires of residents, provides for the long-term needs of business large and small, and guarantees the most product for the tax payer dollar all while holding on to our "small town" values and personality. Gilbert is unique and it takes people with innovative ideas, foresight, and experience to apply the leading practices from corporate and even the military. It is possible to deploy cutting edge concepts with long-term sustainability while stretching every hard-earned tax payer dollar. I've built the most advanced and most capable warships on the planet. Now we're bring that energy and innovation home to Gilbert - the biggest "small town" in America!
