Bill Young II was a potential 2014 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 13th Congressional District of Florida.[1]

Young is the son of the late Rep. C.W. Bill Young.[1]

He announced on November 1, 2013, that he would not seek the seat held by his late father in the 2014 elections.[2]

“Running for Congress is not the right decision for me or my family at this time. My youngest son is three months old. A child changes so much from three months to twelve months and I don’t want to miss my son growing up,” said Young.[2]
