Billie J. Gilpin was a judge on the Orphans Court of Allegany County in Allegany County, Maryland.[1] She was first elected to the court in 1994, and she retired from the bench on August 14, 2017.[2]

Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 20.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Edward C. Crossland, Ron Levasseur, Gary L. Logan, Tom Taccino, Dan Whetzel, and incumbent Judge Donna F. May. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
General: She faced Edward C. Crossland, Donna F. May, and Charles "Buck" Taylor in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 27.8 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

Gilpin was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Allegany County along with Donna F. May and Mark Leland Widmyer, in the general election on November 2, 2010. Gilpin received 29.74 percent of the vote.[5]
