Bishara Addison (Democratic Party) was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing District 9. She assumed office on May 18, 2022. She left office on December 31, 2022.

Addison was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives to replace former Rep. Janine Boyd (D).

Biography

Bishara Addison graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2006. Addison earned a bachelor's degree in political science and government from George Washington University in 2010 and a master's degree in policy management from Georgetown University in 2020. Her career experience includes working as the director of job preparation of the Fund for Our Economic Future, the senior manager of policy and strategic initiatives of Towards Employment, and a project manager of strategy implementation with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.[1]

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
