Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Charles E. Sydnor III and Pat Young defeated Aaron J. Barnett, Bishop Barry Chapman, Rainier Harvey and Frederick D. Ware-Newsome in the Democratic primary, while Michael J. Russell was unopposed in the Republican primary. Sydnor and Young defeated Russell in the general election for two seats. Ware-Newsome and Chapman ran in the general election as write-in candidates.[1][2][3]
