Blair Downing Edwards
Blair Downing Edwards (Republican Party) is a judge of the Louisiana 1st Circuit Court of Appeal 3rd District. She assumed office on January 1, 2025. Her current term ends on December 31, 2034.
Downing Edwards (Republican Party) is running in a special election for the 1st District judge of the Louisiana Supreme Court. She is on the ballot in the special Republican primary on May 16, 2026.[source]
Biography
Edwards worked in the 21st Judicial District Public Defender's office prior to joining the court. She also worked with kids in various capacities, including working with the Office of Child Services as an intern with the Family In Need of Services (FINS) Program. She has also taught at Northwood Preparatory Charter High School and was a former church youth counselor and Sunday school teacher.[1]
