A Blair Township Operating Tax Levy Increase proposal was approved on the February 26, 2013 election ballot in Grand Traverse County, which is in Michigan.
This measure authorized the Township of Blair to impose an additional property tax levy of 1.5 mills ($1.5 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to fund advanced life support, including equipment and operating expenses. The estimated first year revenue from this tax is $355,322.28.[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | Shall Blair Township levy 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) against all taxable real property and tangible personal property in the township, beginning July 01, 2013 through June 30, 2017 inclusive, to continue to provide funds for advanced life support, including the equipment and general operating expenses. This levy will raise in the first calendar year approximately $355,322.28.[1][2] | ” |
