Blake Hewitt is a judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Hewitt assumed office on January 1, 2020. Hewitt's current term ends on June 30, 2029.
Hewitt was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 105 of the South Carolina House of Representatives.
Education
Blake Hewitt earned an undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law.[1]
Career
Hewitt worked as a law clerk for former South Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Toal and U.S. district court Judge Joe Anderson. Prior to becoming a judge, Hewitt practiced law with Bluestein Attorneys for 10 years, specializing in general litigation with a concentration on appellate litigation.[1]

Hewitt ran in the 2012 election for South Carolina House of Representatives District 105. He intially filed but was decertified from the ballot. He filed and was accepted as a Petition Candidate and was on the ballot for the November 6 general election where he was defeated.[2][3]
