|In December of 2023, I successfully completed my 20th year of being a certified police officer. I currently am still employed with the Pinal County Sheriffs Office and am blessed to have the support of my boss, Sheriff Mark Lamb. For the last 10 plus years, I have been at the Lieutenant rank where I have commanded numerous units or regions to include all of San Tan Valley and its 60 plus Deputies. I have been incident commander of large-scale events like Country Thunder and Warrior Dash. I have my baccalaureate degree from the University of St. Cloud and my Masters in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. I was honored to be selected to attend the FBINNA leadership academy in Quantico, VA, where I was able to learn and network with 250 other Police leaders from around the world. Only 1 percent of law enforcement leaders are selected to attend this schooling.
In my free time (if I get any), I enjoy the outdoors, hunting, and most of all, fishing. I credit all my success to my amazingly strong wife and my faith in God.- Judges should be unbiased in their judgments. I will, as I have for the past 20 years, treat everyone with dignity, respect, and fairness. I sworn an oath to uphold the constitution, and I take that very seriously. All humans deserve to be treated the same regardless of their background, ethnicity, and gender.
- With my first key message in mind, judges need to hold people accountable for their actions. We are seeing far to many judges make terrible decisions because they lack the backbone to hold people accountable. We are a society based on faith and the rule of law. With out the rule of law we will fail.
- I work for you. We have an ongoing problem with current JP judges abusing and overspending the budget for pro tempor judges. These elected JPs are only working 2 or 3 days a week, while they use tax payer money to pay for fill judges. I will work, I will be a good steward of your money and I will represent the ethics and values I have developed over the course of my life and career.
I believe in America first in almost every category. The best way we can help others from every corner of the world is by first making ourselves strong. Our strengths come from a society of people who believe in helping others. But we have lost that edge in the past 20 years. We have lost God in our lives, which has, in turn, affected every aspect of society. We are a nation that needs healing and needs to come together to show strength in all areas.
Second to those characteristics, a person elected to this office must be accountable and competent. I have the life experience and career that lets you know I will be successful as your Justice of the Peace.
Judge Sam Goodman
