Biography
Blayre Pena earned a bachelor's degree from Texas State University in 2001 and a law degree from the University of Tulsa School of Law in 2005. Her career experience includes working as an attorney and small business owner.[1]

- I want to overhaul the state property tax system. Texans are tired of the piecemeal relief, and we need a more holistic approach that allows local governments to provide essential services on the one hand while protecting residents from being taxed out of their homes on the other hand.
- The legislature needs to continue to improve our education system.
- I support public safety and making sure our first responders have the tools and education they need to keep Texans safe.
