Blue Mountain Fire District Formation (November 2009)
There was a proposition for the Blue Mountain Fire District Formation on the November 3, 2009 ballot in Asotin County.
The measure was approved.[1]
This proposition created a new fire district within the county and would follow the previously set rules for fire district within the area. This will also allow the district to set a $.95 tax on property to help pay for expenses beginning in 2010.

The Board of Commissioners for Asotin County have passed a resolution regarding a fire district to be known as "Blue Mountain Fire District #1." If passed, this resolution would create a fire protection district pursuant to RCW 52.02 to provide fire protection to the residents and property owners within the boundaries previously established. The district would be authorized to levy a property tax not to exceed $0.95 cents per thousand dollars of assessed value beginning in 2010.[2]
