A vote about whether to recall Jim Fernald, Larry Moreau and Wendy Sanborn from their positions on the Board of Selectmen in Poland, Maine took place on January 3, 2013. All three officials were recalled.[1]

Reasons for recall

The recall was initiated after the board's October 16, 2012, decision to fire former Town Manager Rosemary Kulow. Five people serve on Poland's Board of Selectmen. The two board members who voted against firing Kulow were not targeted in the recall campaign.[1]

Path to the ballot

Recall organizers submitted 188 signatures in order to qualify the recall for the ballot.[1]
