Recall supporters
Resident Sam Boodoian Jr. initiated the recall effort. The recall petition for each official read as follows, "Voted on 4/21/21 in favor of a sewer project estimated at $130,000,000 without seeking prior support from majority of the township constituents in the proposed sewer assessment district."[3]
Path to the ballot

The Roscommon County Election Commission approved the recall petition for circulation in a hearing on April 14, 2022.[3]
For the recall election to be scheduled, organizers needed to collect signatures from 25% of township voters from the previous gubernatorial election.
