Brinson (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the North Carolina State Senate to represent District 3. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Governor of North Carolina Roy Cooper (D) appointed Brinson to the North Carolina State Senate District 2 on July 30, 2024, replacing Jim Perry.

Biography

Brinson earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Brinson served in the United States Army for 28 years.[1] Prior to his appointment to the North Carolina State Senate District 2, Brinson served as a member of the Board of Aldermen in New Bern, North Carolina. [2]
