Bob Constan was a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the 16th District from January 1, 2007 to January 1, 2013.

Rep. Constan graduated from Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights in 1977. He graduated from the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He practiced law as an attorney for 20 years, representing the Michigan Democratic Party on voter protection issues. He has served on the Michigan State Bar and the Dearborn Area Bar. He has been married to Kim Constan for 16 years and has three children.

Constan was the chair pro-tem of the Dearborn Heights City Council until being elected in 2006.

Political campaign history

He is the former Chair Pro Tem of the Dearborn Heights City Council and previously served in other positions including as president of the Dearborn Area Bar Association and precinct delegate. Constan has also worked as an attorney with the Michigan Democratic Party on voter protection issues.

Constan won election to the District 16 seat in 2010. He defeated Michael Greene in the August 3 Democratic primary. He defeated Michael Mullins (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[1][2]
