I am a CPA and a small business owner. I own a tax preparation business and commercial real estate business with a good friend of mine. I am proud of the fact that I can bring my business acumen to help serve my community. I have served as a Township Supervisor in North Fayette Township since I was first elected in 2011. During that time, we have improved public safety, recreation and infrastructure all without raising taxes on our residents and businesses. Much like a business, we found ways to improve the value of life for the residents and businesses of our community, while operating our township operations in an efficient manner.

I live in North Fayette with my wife, Kay Doddato, and our three children, Jovie, August and Clare. Our kids keep us busy with their schedules and practices for Soccer, Basketball and Cub Scouts.

In my leisure I enjoy running and you can usually find me participating in the community 5K races. I also enjoy traveling with my family and spending time at the lake or the ocean.
  • Fiscal Responsibility and Property Tax Reductions - We are pushing residents and businesses out of the county. We need to focus on making our county more efficient with their operations. We also need to narrow the expenditures of the county and focus on core services such as infrastructure, public safety and parks.
  • Public Safety - County Council is charged funding our County Police and electing a President of Council that serves on the Jail Oversight Board. We need to ensure that the police officers and jail guards are being listened to and the resources they need to do their job safely are made available.
  • Economic Growth - Other counties have outpaced Allegheny County for decades. We need to focus on listening to the small business and labor community to understand their roadblocks to growth. Additionally, we need to leverage the 92 billion in energy investments coming to this region and capitalize on helping other businesses grow from this great opportunity.
Encouraging entrepreneurship and job growth is something I care deeply about. Small business is the life blood of our economy as it creates 80% of new jobs and we need to encourage more entrepreneurship. Many of the challenges facing this county can be solved with more jobs and higher paying jobs that create more home ownership and investment in our region.
Integrity is essential. Doing what is right when no one is looking. Many people have lost faith in our government institutions because of a lack of integrity of their elected officials.

Innovation and creativity are key drivers of effective elected officials. Government is bombarded with challenges and finding creative ways to solve them in a cost-effective manner is what separates a well-run county from a poorly run county.
The County Council is a check and balance to the County Executive. Review and approval of the budget is a large part of this responsibility. Ensuring that the county spending is appropriate and sustainable is a key component. Beyond the budget, the review and approval of County staff and board appointees is conducted by County Council

Additionally, the County Council serves as the liaison for residents, municipalities and businesses that have a need or question for any of the county government services or offices.
I was 19 when 9/11 happened. I remember watching it with college friends and being shocked at what was occurring. In the days that followed I loved the sense of community that existed.
Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki

I read it over 20 years ago and it had me start thinking about personal finance, entrepreneurship and investing in a completely different manner. It helped encourage me to take risks and was a key component of me starting a real estate company with a friend of mine 20 years ago. I encourage everyone to read this book as it challenges many of the social norms about money that exist in society.
