Bob L. Forthan (b. August 6, 1952, in Portland, OR) was a 2016 Republican candidate for governor of Oregon.[1][2]
Biography
Military service
Forthan was a sergeant in the National Guard, 249th Headquarters, from 1971 to 1977.[2]
Career
Forthan was a car tester for the state of Oregon from 1976 to 2011.[2]
Elections
2016
Forthan ran unsuccessfully for governor of Oregon in the 2016 special election to complete the term of Governor John Kitzhaber (D), who resigned in February 2015 and was replaced by Kate Brown (D).[1][3]
Forthan has also filed to run for mayor of Portland, Ore., in 2016.[4]
