Bob currently serves as Vice President at Freeman Webb. Bob graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Construction Management and Land Development and went on to earn his master's degree in Sustainability from Lipscomb University's Institute for Sustainable Practice. Bob currently serves on the boards of the Tennessee Environmental Council, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, Metro Sustainability Advisory Committee and the U.S. Green Building Council's Tennessee Market Leadership Advisory Board. He was also appointed to the Nashville Homelessness Commission, which brings together advocates, business leaders, government agencies, and the general public to collaborate on solutions for homelessness in Nashville.
  • Two years ago, I spoke to residents of the 56th House District about the importance of thoughtful and responsible leadership, and putting aside partisan rhetoric for the greater good. During my first term, I passed more bipartisan legislation than any other freshman legislator. As a member of the Health Committee, I am proud to support our healthcare workers, and hospitals, on the frontlines of the COVID pandemic. I am also proud of the work we've done with small business owners, and recently unemployed workers, making sure their government works more efficiently for them during these historic times. We must work together to find common sense solutions to our common challenges, and I believe my legislative records speaks to my approach to l
  • I hope to accomplish more bipartisan solutions to the historic challenges ahead. I want to ensure every Tennessean has access to quality healthcare, every child has access to a great education and every community can participate in the economic successes of our state. We need to make strategic infrastructure investments to keep our urban and rural economies moving. In order to accomplish these goals, it is imperative that we work together to find the common ground that connects us, rather that the petty partisanship that aims to divide us.
  • Maintaining a healthy state, a healthy economy, and a healthy future for our children is what I'm 100% focused on right now. Our city and state have endured historic challenges this year, from violent storms and tornadoes to a global health pandemic that has impacted all aspects of everyday life. None of these are democrat or republican issues, these are real life issues that effect our families, friends and neighbors. Now more than ever, we need more thoughtful and responsible leadership that always puts the best interest of Tennessee families first.
My top three priorities are to protect the health of all Tennesseans, safely reinvigorate our economy, and ensure a brighter future for our next generation. I was recently appointed by the Republican Speaker to serve on the Health Committee, which plays a critical role in how we care for our urban and rural neighbors. This pandemic has exposed a number of challenges facing our healthcare system, which has already experienced a record number of rural hospital closures. We also have to work to create a business environment that protects the well-being of employees and customers. In the area of education, there is no doubt this fall will be unlike any others experienced in our lifetime. Now, it is more important than ever that every child has access to a quality education, in person or virtually. These are not partisan issues, and we must work together in order to overcome these historic challenges. Now is not the time for petty partisanship, it's time for real leadership.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Tennessee

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
