Bob Hanner (b. April 19, 1945) is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 148 from 1975 to 2013.

Hanner's professional experience includes working as a business/estate planner, farmer, and in the insurance industry. He served in the United States Coast Guard in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.

He is a member of the Dawson Lion's Club, mason with P.T. Schley Lodge #229 of the Terrell County Chamber of Commerce, past director of the United States Jaycees, and co-chair of the Joint Blue Ribbon Study Commission.[1]

Change of party affiliation

Following his unopposed victory in the November 2, 2010, general election, Hanner switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. [2]

Hanner ran for re-election to the 148th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the July 20 primary and no one ran against him in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]

Although re-elected as a Democrat, Hanner switched his party affiliation to Republican after the election.

In 2008, Hanner was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 148. Hanner (D) ran unopposed and finished with 10,838 votes.[4] Hanner raised $33,138 for his campaign fund.[5]
