I grew up in a small town in the Texas Panhandle. I went to undergrad at Texas Tech, and later to Grad school at SMU. I’m married and became a first-time grandfather in June 2024. I’ve been in Plano for the last 24 years. In 2001, I had the opportunity to move back to DFW and I intentionally moved to Plano because of the job opportunities and the excellent reputation of this city.
  • I believe in maintaining the high value Plano residents expect — providing excellent services, strong public safety, great libraries, and recreation centers, and well-kept roads and infrastructure. I'll listen to citizens so we can meet your needs efficiently.
  • Renewal is vital. By refreshing our retail and office spaces, Plano will remain an attractive destination for businesses and families. Keeping our city vibrant and competitive also helps our taxes from rising.
  • Addressing housing is essential. With rising costs, we must find ways to keep growing families in Plano, help our seniors who want to retire here, and support young families who want to build lives here. This strengthens our schools, economy, and sense of community.
I'm passionate about economic development. It is important to attract and retain businesses of all size to Plano. This helps with our prosperity, and allows the tax burden to be carried 50% by businesses. The result is a
thriving community.
Integrity, transparency, collaboration, community involvement.
Setting direction for city staff regarding all aspects of the city. This includes the budget and overseeing the City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Judge.
My very first job was moving irrigation pipe on a farm when I was 14. It lasted through the summer.

Transparency is very important. This allows the citizens to see what is happening and at what cost. This also gives citizens the chance to hold officials accountable.
