I am an internationally recognized expert and analyst in the application of advanced technologies and process improvements to solve business problems and enhance business operations.   In one simple statement, I believe in Representing the People P and NOT a Party. Having No Party Affiliation (NPA), I can focus on the real issues faced by Florida’s citizens and work to find a solution that fits the needs of the community rather than aligning with partisan political policy.
  • Legitimate Voting

In Florida, as is the case with several other states, if a candidate runs unopposed in the primary and the general elections, they are automatically removed from the ballot, declared the winner, and awarded the sought-after position.

As a result, there is no opportunity for a voter to write in the name of their candidate of choice, the decision has been made by the party for the primaries and by the Board of Elections for the General Election.

I believe that the candidate must be elected via ballot, even when unopposed. The ballot must show the candidate and a line for write-in capabilities. As an NPA my voting rights are taken away because the entire position is not even listed.
  • Women's Right for Abortions I hear many people say they are Pro-life yet when asked about the death penalty, the majority will respond that the death penalty is needed, not life in prison. These are not people who are pro-life, they are pro-birth. I believe no one can make this decision but the mother. In an emergency where the mother is in a life-threatening situation, unable to make the decision, assessment, evaluation, and decision should be made by medical personnel. From a religious perspective, if this is wrong, then it is between the mother and God. I am not here to judge, nor should the government be dictating, what should happen. I will fight for women's rights to choose.
  • Education Book banning is not how we teach future generations and certainly not how to help them develop intellectual capabilities to innovate. I feel tax dollars must be allocated to enhancing and enriching the public school system, not private education. We are losing good educators who can no longer afford to live here and are not earning comparable pay to the area’s costs of living. Florida needs to recognize that universities are not the only option and begin supporting and promoting publicly available technical education schools, and special needs schools. I will work to provide greater support to our public school system, increase teacher wages, and end book banning.
There are so many areas that need attention, these are but a few. Equal Rights for All, Education, Environment, Healthcare, Public Transportation, Homelessness, and Immigration.
Sir Kenneth Aphunezi Olisa, a British businessman and philanthropist I had the honor and pleasure of working with in the 1980s. He taught me a lot about focusing on the person, listening to what is being said - not just hearing it, and analyzing the information you collected to develop a suitable resolution to the problem.
Honesty, empathy, trustworthiness, sincerity, and be an intellectual not a rubber stamper.
Ability to listen, identify the underlying issues, present and discuss those issues with appropriate parties, and develop a joint solution.
Represent the people not the party. Listen to the people and fight for what they need not what a political group thinks they need.
I worked independently with the parties, for the benefit of the people.
Bank Mail room and records keeper. I did this for 3 years.
Anything by Stephen Hawking, Neile deGrasse Tyson, or Carl Sagan. They are true futurists and realists who have been able to identify faults and opportunities in humankind in ways that would hurt or could save us. We, the human race, can make changes now that will have significant impact on the future of the planet and generations to come. We need to take time, put aside our bias, and listen.
Accepting the status quo when there are so many opportunities to improve and help society transform into the next phase of life on this planet.
Partnership not Dictatorship. At the end of the day, all parties must talk in a civilized way and work for the people.
Partisan politics with party first rather than the people. Refusing federal funding for infrastructure, Bi-partisan directives such as book banning, and the removal of ones right to choose their path in life are not in the best interest of the community.
I do not believe in career politicians and feel that this leads one to stray away from those who elected them. Given I am not experienced in the political arena, I feel my corporate life experience will be of benefit.
Yes, the same as in the private sector. No one person can move the mountains faced by the State legislators, so yes, it is important to build relationship across the board,

I have often said that there are some good elements from all parties, and it is through those relationships that joint resolutions are made. Come to the table and talk.
Growing up, I found Thomas Phillip "Tip" O'Neill Jr. to be most interesting and able to bring about bi-partisan resolution better than anyone since.

Tip was an American Democratic Party politician from Massachusetts who served as the 47th speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1977 to 1987
A young family searching for a summer camp or place where their child with Downs Syndrome could spend time enjoying the same opportunities as non-Downs children. No where were they able to identify or locate such a facility or programs, and asking the State for direction was an exercise in futility.

This is wrong and should be corrected, as should many of the socially centric elements of society like healthcare, housing, and food banks.
If you were traveling at the speed of light and turned on your headlights, does anything happen? Steven Wright
Based on what I have read I would not grant these powers to private individuals but would support oversight by local officials.
Campaign and Ballot Reform. Regardless of opposition status, with or without an opponent, in primary and general elections, the open position must be shown, candidates listed, and space for write-in candidates made available. Until this is so, voting rights of the opposition and those not affiliated with either major party are removed and, in my opinion, breaking the constitutional right to vote.

There should be complete transparency and accountability in government. Today, we are seeing a move away from that practice, as you would in an autocracy.
I feel that citizens should have the right to propose various initiatives at the local, county, and state levels of government. I also believe that the process should be simple, concise, and training provided to the individuals engaged in this process with oversight and support from the appropriate government department.

We are a nation that is supposed to be for the people, and we must have an avenue for them to voice their opinion and be heard. This is also where the elected representatives should play a major role.
