Bob McCready is a judge of the Orphans Court of Somerset County in Somerset County, Maryland.[1] He was elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2]

Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 33.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Kenneth E. Ballard, Jr. and incumbent Judge Donald L. Howard. All 3 candidates ran unopposed in the primary. 
General: He faced Kenneth E. Ballard, Jr., Libby M. Hall, and incumbent judges, John R. Somers and Donald L. Howard in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 20.3 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats. [1][3]
