Bob Schaffer was a potential Republican candidate for Governor of Colorado in the 2014 election.[1] He considered a run but did not file nominating petitions with the secretary of state for the June 24 primary election.[2]

Early speculation about the 2014 election for Governor of Colorado had Schaffer on a short list of possible Republican challengers to go up against incumbent Gov. John Hickenlooper (D). He ultimately did not file for the primary ballot.[2][1]
