Bob Scott (Tennessee)
Bob Scott was a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Tennessee.[1] He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary.[2] He was defeated in the general election by incumbent John Duncan, Jr. (R) on November 4, 2014.[3]
Scott ran for election to the same seat in 2006, 2004, and 1988.[4][5][6]
Biography
Scott earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee and an M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He worked in the chemical industry for 15 years. He also taught at Pellissippi State Technical Community College for 26 years before retiring.[7]

Scott ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Tennessee's 2nd District. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 7, 2014.[2] He was defeated in the general election by incumbent John Duncan, Jr. (R) on November 4, 2014.[3]

On November 4, 2008, John Duncan, Jr. won re-election to the United States House. He defeated Bob Scott (D) in the general election.[8]
