Bob Snelling
Bob Snelling was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 66 of the Georgia House of Representatives. He ran unsuccessfully for the same seat in 2012.
Snelling previously served in the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 99 from 1995 to 2003.[1]
Biography
Snelling earned his B.S. Naval Science from the United States Naval Academy in 1965, his Wings from the Navy Flight School in 1968, his Leadership Douglas in 1996 and a certification to teach Biblical Worldview from the Prison Fellowship Ministries Centurion Program in 2005. His professional experience includes working as a Pilot, Flight Instructor, Flight Examiner Global Services Flight Instructor and Check Pilot for Delta. He served in the United States Navy and Reserves from 1969 to 1975.[1]
Elections
2014
Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent Kimberly A. Alexander was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while R.J. "Bob" Snelling was unopposed in the Republican primary. Alexander defeated Snelling in the general election.[2][3][4]
2012
Snelling ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 66. Snelling and Michael Miller defeated Mickey Thompson in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012, moving on to an August 21 runoff. Snelling defeated Michael Miller in the Republican runoff primary.[5] Kimberly Alexander ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7][8] Snelling was defeated in the general election.
