Wisconsin Assembly District 24 voters want their representative in Madison to listen to their needs and work creatively to serve them. They’re asking for a change from the 12 years of games and the lack of real impact of the incumbent. Tatterson has the knowledge and skills based on many experiences to make the 24th District the best place to live, work and raise a family in the state. As a research and development engineer, he solved complex open-ended problems every day. As a business leader, he knows how to listen to all constituents, organize for action, make tough investment decisions and get things done efficiently. He has analyzed opportunities and championed investments that have created hundreds of jobs. Bob Tatterson lives in Mequon, Wisconsin with his wife and two children. He advises and invests in Wisconsin-based innovative business startups and serves on several nonprofit boards and advisory councils. As a hands-on volunteer community leader, and former volunteer firefighter, he makes an impact through service to education, the environment, the arts and sciences.
  • Voters in the district want transparency in government and all voters should have a true choice in selecting who represents them. Secret decision making and extreme gerrymandering run counter to this and we end up with bad results such as the anonymous objection by a Representative to Cedar Gorge preservation funding in Ozaukee County and the colossal Foxconn failure.
  • We must reduce taxes by making the government more effective and efficient, collect taxes that are due and reduce the record budget surplus. A smart criminal justice program addressing the effects of drug addiction will save money and return people to the workforce. Lowering the state sales tax, which everyone pays, and the elimination of the business personal property tax will be positive progress.
  • Our best investment for the future is in access to a quality education for all. Recent investments in our public schools have delivered results, but there is more to be done to improve this and make schools safer. Deeply engaging and teaching students at all levels yields tomorrow's Wisconsin workforce and prosperity for all.
Billions of dollars leave Wisconsin every year to pay for the energy and fuels that we use. Increased energy independence in Wisconsin and protecting the environment are both possible. We need to take legislative action to encourage the harnessing of Wisconsin’s natural energy resources with proven and economical solar, wind and biomass technologies.
