Bobbi M. Alpers
Bobbi M. Alpers was a Chief Judge for the Seventh District of Iowa. She was appointed to this court in 1992 and served as chief judge from 2006 until her retirement on April 4, 2013.[1][2][3]
Education
After graduating from the University of Dubuque in 1973, she received her masters and law degrees from the University of Iowa in 1975 and 1983, respectively.[2]
Career
Alpers began her career as a clerk for the 7th Judicial District. She then worked as an assistant Scott County attorney and a sole practitioner. She was a Scott County magistrate from 1987 until 1992, when she was appointed district judge.[2]
2012 election
Alpers was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 75.68 percent of the vote.[4][5]
