Biography

Bobby Sanchez earned a bachelor's degree from Springfield College. As of September 2019, Sanchez is employed by the Human Resources Agency (HRA) as case manager and fatherhood initiative coordinator. He has served on different local organizations and boards such as: Citizens for Action in New Britain, the Federal Housing Residents Council, the New Britain Democratic Town Committee, the New Britain Human Rights Commission, and was selected by the City’s Town Council to serve on the City’s Housing Coalition Board.[1]

Elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Robert "Bobby" Sanchez was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Edward Colon was unopposed in the Republican primary. Sanchez defeated Colon, Alfred P. Mayo (nonpartisan) and Paul Gobell (G) in the general election.[4][5]
