Bonnie Chessher Oliver is a judge of the Northeastern Circuit of Georgia. She joined the court in 1999. She was re-elected unopposed on May 24, 2016, to a term expiring in 2020.[1][2]

Oliver received her undergraduate degree from Shorter College in 1978 and her J.D. from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1981.[1]

Oliver began her legal career as general counsel to a private nonprofit organization. In 1985, she went into private practice. Thirteen years later, Oliver was appointed to the Hall County State Court, where she served until her appointment to the Superior Court one year later.[1]

2012

Oliver ran unopposed for re-election to the Northeastern Superior Court.[3] She was re-elected after receiving 99.7 percent of the vote in the July 31 election.[4]
