An effort to recall Select Chair Bonnie Conner in Hinsdale, Massachusetts from her position was launched in January 2015.[1] The recall election took place on June 27, 2015.[2] Conner was recalled.[3]
Recall election
Conner was defeated by John Genzabella in the recall election on June 27, 2015.[4][3]
Recall supporters
Conner is targeted for recall over her firing of Police Chief Nancy Daniels, transferring station attendant and custodian Bruce Stetson and allegedly repeatedly violating the Open Meetings Act.[1]
In June 2015, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission determined that Daniels was fired because of her gender and complaints made against Conner.[5]

Supporters needed to collect signatures equal to 20 percent of the town's 1,400 voters - about 280. There was no set filing deadline.[1] Petitioners turned in more than 400 signatures.[6]
