Bonnie Girard
Bonnie Girard was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Virginia. Girard was defeated by Randy Forbes in the Republican primary on June 12, 2012.[1]
Biography
Girard earned her B.A. in political science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She also received her diploma in Chinese language from Foreign Affairs College in Beijing, China[2]
In 1996, Girard founded a consulting group to help U.S. companies access Chinese markets.[2]

Girard's campaign focus was on improving economic growth in Virginia and improving U.S.-China relations.[2]
