Bonnie Jackson (Louisiana)
Bonnie Jackson was a judge for Section 1, Division K of the Louisiana 19th Judicial District Court. She left office on December 31, 2020.
Jackson ran for re-election to the court in 2014, winning another six-year term that expires at the end of 2020.[1]

Jackson ran for re-election to the 19th Judicial District.
Primary: She was elected in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 60.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Nina S. Hunter and Tiffany Foxworth.

Education
Jackson earned her J.D. from the Louisiana State University Law Center in 1978, one of five African American students to graduate from the law school that year.[3]
Career
Before serving as a judge, Jackson worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish Public Defender's Office for 14 years. While there she became the assistant director, a position she held until the launch of her judgeship campaign.[3]
