Bower appointed to Iowa Court of Appeals

Des Moines, Iowa: Judge Thomas N. Bower has been appointed to the Iowa Court of Appeals. Gov. Terry Branstad made the decision on December 8, choosing Bower from a list of three nominees that included Judge Susan Christensen and Assistant Attorney General Jeanie Vaudt. Bower will replace retired Judge Rosemary Sackett.
Bower has served as the chief judge for Judicial District 1B since 2010. He first joined the district court as an associate judge in 1993 and he became a district court judge in 1995. Prior to becoming a judge, he worked as an assistant attorney of Black Hawk County and an assistant city attorney.[1][2]
