Boyd Goodloe was a candidate for an at-large position on the Lubbock school board in Texas. He was defeated by challenger Laura Vinson in the general election on May 10, 2014. Board President Steve Messengale did not file for re-election of his seat.

Goodloe was born in Lubbock, Texas and attended Nat Williams Elementary, Evans Junior High and Lubbock High School. He has his bachelor's degree in finance from Texas Tech University. At the time of his candidacy, Goodloe was part of the human resources team at Globe Energy Services. He and his wife, Julie, an educator, have two boys.[1]
