A Boyne Valley Township Transfer Station Levy Amendment proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Charlevoix County, which is in Michigan where it was approved.
This proposal authorized the Township of Boyne Valley to make certain changes to how a 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) in property taxes is spent.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | This proposal does not seek a new millage. The electors previously approved 1 mill for the years 2009 through 2013, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for operating the township transfer station, including renting or purchasing the property on which the transfer station is located. This proposal seeks to amend the purpose of this previously approved millage to include authority to improve Addis Road from the Transfer station to US 131.
Shall the purpose of the previously approved 1 mill transfer station millage, which authorized taxes to be levied for the purpose of providing funds for operating the township transfer station, including renting or purchasing the property on which the transfer station is located, be amended to authorize taxes to be levied for the following purposes: "To provide funds for operating the township transfer station, including renting or purchasing the property on which the transfer station is located, and to provide funds to improve Addis Road from the transfer station to US 131?" YES |
