Brad Allen

Brad Allen is a district court judge for the 15A Judicial District, which presides over Alamance County in North Carolina.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Jim Hunt and assumed office in February 2000.[2] He ran for re-election to the 15A Judicial District in 2014, winning a new term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Judicial performance evaluation
In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[5]

2010
Allen ran for election to the 15A Judicial District. He defeated Shannon Peterson in the general election, winning 63.24 percent of the vote.[6] Though judges in the state do not run with party affiliation, Allen was endorsed by the North Carolina Democratic Party.[7]

Education
Allen received his undergraduate degree in industrial relations and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1985 and his J.D. from the Campbell University School of Law in 1988.[8][9]
