Brad Herold is a partner at Something Else Strategies and a former executive director of the Republican Party of Florida.[1] Herold has worked in the office of the Florida House of Representatives, as the deputy state director for U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R), and has run campaigns for Ron DeSantis.[2] As of May 2025, Herold worked on Byron Donalds' campaign in the 2026 Florida governor's race.[3]
Biography
Herold worked in the administration of Florida Governor Rick Scott (R) and former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives Will Weatherford (R). As a campaign manager, Herold has worked for former Florida Rep. Adam Hasner (R) and on the U.S. Senate campaign of Mike McFadden (R) in Minnesota.[1]
In August 2014, Herold joined the office of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) as the deputy state director. Rubio's office stated, "Brad has an impressive résumé of working in Florida government and politics. Brad will help us continue to ensure that the work the Senator is doing in Washington, D.C., is shared with our neighbors from Pensacola to the Keys and everywhere in between."[4]

Republican Party of Florida
In addition to work with candidates and officeholders, Herold has been a staffer with the Republican Party of Florida in a number of roles. Herold was the director of field operations from 2007 to 2010 and became the deputy executive director in January 2015.[2] In May 2015, after five months in a leadership transition, the state party named Herold executive director.[5] He served in that position until January of 2016 before leaving to work on the U.S. senate campaign of Ron DeSantis (R).[6]
Something Else Strategies
In 2018, Herold joined Something Else Strategies, a consulting firm that supports conservative candidates.[7] During the 2018 election cycle, Herold worked as a media consultant and campaign manager for DeSantis' gubernatorial campaign.[1] Herold is currently a partner at Something Else Strategies.[3] He has worked as a consultant for Joni Ernst, Kay Ivey, Jim Pillen, and Kelly Ayotte.[3] As of May 2025, Herold worked on Byron Donalds' campaign in the 2026 Florida governor's race.
