Brad Hill is a judge of the California 5th District Court of Appeal. He assumed office in 2006. His current term ends on January 8, 2035.

Hill ran for re-election for judge of the California 5th District Court of Appeal. He won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.

Hill appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and was confirmed on April 18, 2006.[1] On August 11, 2010, Governor Schwarzenegger nominated Hill to serve as presiding justice of the court.[2] Hill was confirmed to the office of Presiding Justice on August 25, 2010, by the California Commission on Judicial Appointments.[3][4]

Education

Hill earned his bachelor's degree from California State University at Fresno in 1977 and received his master's degree in business administration two years later. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1983.[5]

Career

Hill began his legal career in 1983 as a partner in the law firm McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte & Carruth. He became a judge in 1991 when he was appointed to the Fresno County Superior Court. He served on this court until his appointment to the Court of Appeals.[5]
