Brad Koplinski
Brad Koplinski was a Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania in the 2014 elections. Koplinski is a Harrisburg City Councilman. He announced his candidacy for lieutenant governor at the Capitol on February 4, 2013.[1] He lost in the primary.
Biography
Outside the government arena, Koplinski's professional background includes authoring a book entitled of Hats In The Ring: Conversations with Presidential Candidates and teaching courses on subjects ranging from Martin Luther King, Jr. and consumer protection to history at Central Pennsylvania College.[2]
He worked in Washington D.C. for the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division and for the Internal Revenue Service's Office of Chief Counsel. Back in Pennsylvania, Koplinski served as a policy analyst for Pennsylvania Auditor General, helping carry out the watchdog department's audits of tax-payer funded government agencies on the federal and state level, as well as agency policies to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of their spending practices.
Koplinski put his political activism on display for a number of campaigns. In 2008, he was the controller for the 2008 Obama-Biden Pennsylvania campaign, state political director for former Senator Arlen Specter and Central Pennsylvania political director for former Senator Hillary Clinton.[2]
Koplinski earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a J.D. from the New England School of Law.

2014
Koplinski ran for election to the office of Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor in 2014. He failed to win the Democratic nomination in the primary on May 20, 2014.[1]

Koplinski was first elected to the Harrisburg City Council in 2007.[2]
